THIS CAR HAS HAD A LOT OF LOVE!
We are selling this 2006 Acura RL for one of our own mechanics here at Accolade Auto. This has been his personal car, and he has put a lot of time, money and love into maintaining and improving it.
In total, there has been OVER $7,000 worth of maintenance, repairs and upgrades invested into this RL!
This isn't a car that we simply bought at an auction and put up for sale. It is a mechanic-owned car that we are helping one of our own employees sell.
55K-MILE JDM REPLACEMENT ENGINE!
In February of 2026, the engine was replaced with a low-mile Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) engine that had approximately 46,000 miles at the time of installation.
He has put approximately 8,000 miles on the car since then, so the replacement engine currently has approximately 55,000 miles!
And he didn't simply install another engine and call it good.
While the engine was out, he took the opportunity to do a TON of preventative maintenance at the same time!
MAINTENANCE, REPAIRS & UPGRADES:
• Low-mile JDM replacement engine – approximately 55,000 miles currently
• Engine installed February 2026 with approximately 46,000 miles
• Full timing belt service
• New water pump
• Seals and gaskets replaced/serviced during engine installation
• New PCV valve
• New serpentine belt
• New spark plugs
• 3 of the 4 engine mounts replaced while the engine was out
• Front brakes replaced March 2026
• Windshield wiper blades replaced March 2026
• Matching Bridgestone tires
• All four tires currently measure approximately 7/32"
• Catalytic converters replaced at approximately 270,000 miles
• Glove box just professionally reupholstered
• Recently installed aftermarket exhaust
AFTERMARKET EXHAUST:
Our mechanic recently installed an aftermarket exhaust that gives the Acura a more aggressive exhaust note.
We want to be upfront about this: we do not have the original stock muffler. The car will be sold with the aftermarket exhaust currently installed.
